About Us

Hello! and welcome to our website - we are Ronnie Roark and his wife, Marianne Filka at Clear Springs Hollow Farm in the foothills of the beautiful southern Appalachian Mountains of upper east Tennessee.

At Clear Springs Hollow Farm, we are dedicated to raising and training quality Icelandic, Shire and Clydesdale horses.

Because of our small farm size, we give our horses lots of personal attention. We imprint all of our horses at birth. We give careful attention to training, teaching our horses to tie-up, halter, stand quiet for grooming, clipping, and foot care, loading and trailoring.

Since he was a young boy, Ronnie has been involved with training horses to drive. Over the years, he has trained Belgians, Percherons and more recently Shires and Clydesdales. At present he is assembling a six-up Clydesdale hitch.

Marianne fell in love with the "Icey" horses in 2001 when she met her first herd at Unicorn Valley Icelandics in KY. Since then she has slowly built her own herd of mares and recently purchased a stallion.

We are proud to be members of the American Shire Horse Association, the Clydesdale Breeders of the U.S.A., and the United States Icelandic Horse Congress.

Bon appetit!
