Directions to 137 Hugh Garland Rd. from Asheville, NC: (approx. travel time is 60 minutes from Asheville depending on traffic.)

Take I-26 north towards Johnson City, Weaverville, Mars Hill. (I am not sure if they have put up the new signs in Asheville for I-26 North, until recently it was 19/23 north - it is renamed I-26 on the TN side - so watch for either 19/23 north towards Weaverville or I-26 towards Weaverville.) Stay on I-26 until you are over the mountains and approaching Erwin, TN (Approximately 25 or 30 miles).

Take the "Jonesborough/Rt. 81" exit, and turn left off the exit ramp towards Jonesborough. This is a windy two lane road with a sharp curve or two, so be alert. About 7 or 8 miles on this road, after you cross the second bridge over the Nolichucky River, watch for route 67 on the right. (If you pass Lamar elementary school on the right you have gone too far.) Turn right onto 67, go about 2 + miles. Turn right on Hugh Garland Rd. (this is the next road after Rockhouse Rd.). Our farm is at the end of this short asphalt road, when you reach gravel, that is our place - a vinyl sided white farm house with two large maple trees in the front yard, and a small greenhouse to the right of the house. Across from our house is our new tie-stall barn. If no one is at the house, drive straight past the house and this small barn. You will come around a curve and see a large barn. We are always either at the house or the big barn working with horses.
